The Solitaire du Figaro Paprec stops over in Pornichet in 2026!
Great news for all sailing and nautical event enthusiasts: the legendary Solitaire du Figaro Paprec will stop in Pornichet from May 27 to 31, 2026, just a few minutes from Camping du Bugeau.
After 34 years away, this famous offshore race returns to our seaside resort, offering an exceptional spectacle in the Bay of La Baule.
A legendary French sailing race
Created in 1970, the Solitaire du Figaro Paprec is one of the most demanding solo sailing races in the world. Each year, it brings together the elite of offshore racing aboard identical boats, highlighting only the sailors’ skills and performance.
The 2026 edition will take place from May 13 to June 7, 2026, featuring several international stages between Brittany, Spain, and the French Atlantic coast.
Pornichet will host the finish of the 2nd stage, coming from Vigo (Spain), a technically challenging crossing including the passage of Cape Finisterre and the Bay of Biscay before entering the Loire estuary.
